This Morning's Music
We did it more or less a capella, the organ having died in medias res. Actually it was at the Offertory that it began to sound like the organ on the Titanic, if someone had still been playing it at the bottom of the sea; before that it had merely been imitating a foghorn at odd intervals, mostly during readings, prayers, and the homily. Apparently some child threw up in a pew, too, so what with one thing and another, it was quite the Sunday here-comes-everything.
