According to my son, there's an entire industry of counter-phishers whose mission in life is to make the perpetrators of phishing/spam-fraud schemes miserable. They do things like get in touch with them, make arrangements to send them packages of valuable computer parts and/or cash, then ship them boxes of bricks COD. Stuff like that. I'm not sure how he stumbled onto information about this particular underworld activity, but he finds it no end of entertaining.
