Readers here will remember little Beatrice, the toddler daughter of a friend in England, who is undergoing treatment for liver cancer. To date she has completed three rounds of chemotherapy; she was going in for the fourth today, so is probably still hospitalized as I write this. She has done well thus far, and the tumor has responded positively to the treatment: in other words, it's dying, which is what we all want it to do. That's the good news.
Beatrice is scheduled on the first of March for surgery to remove the part of her liver the tumor has colonized. Her mother reports unsettling news from the surgeon, who indicates that the operation will be complicated due to the position of major blood vessels in relation to the tumor. If he cannot safely remove the tumor, Beatrice will need a liver transplant. That's the unexpected and scary news.
Please, please continue to pray for healing for Beatrice, and for peace, hope, and comfort for her entire family.

Thank you so much, Sally.
A lovely little story to brighten our woes. A friend (in Berkshire, UK) texted me today to tell me that she'd asked her friend to pray for Beatrice. This other lady then worked out that she'd already heard of Beatrice... 'on Sally Thomas's blog'!

Wow! I'm so glad. And, of course, praying for you all.
